About Tango Petaluma

Photo of Donna Agoitia Donna Agoitia formed Tango Petaluma in 2004 to create an Argentine Tango community in the Northbay of the greater San Francisco Bay Area. She wanted to create a place nearby for tango dancers to dance instead of driving into the greater Bay Area. The Bay Area has the second largest Argentine Tango community in the U.S.

Donna has been teaching in Petaluma since 2004. She was trained by Ken Delmar and Natash Ng of San Francisco.

She has also travelled to Buenos Aires to study and dance, along with taking workshops and classes from visiting teachers locally.

Several times a year Donna hosts visiting teachers in Petaluma for workshops, classes and private lessons. The classes are small, fun and each student gets quite a bit of individual attention.

Donna says, "I extend many thanks to the Northbay tango dancers for helping support this endeavor. Without you it would be nothing."
